Laura Pausini has reached another important milestone in her career: she will be hosting the Latin Grammy Awards, an extraordinary event which celebrates excellence in Latin music around the world. This year’s edition will take place on Thursday November 17 at the Michelob Ultra Arena of Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
After thirteen nominations and four wins at the Latin Grammy Awards, the Latin Recording Academy very much wanted the global icon of Italian music host the ceremony; Pausini is in fact the first Italian artist in history to be asked to helm the ceremony.
“The Latin Grammys have always had a special place in my heart, and it is a great honour to be part of this event, an important recognition for my music from the Latin American world.
“Hosting Eurovision this year has also made me passionate about a different aspect of my job, one that complements it, and that is why I accepted with great enthusiasm the proposal of this new challenge that will see me on the stage of the Latin Grammys on November 17 as a presenter.”
“As an Italian, this is a source of great pride for me,” said the artist.
This is yet another recognition in Laura’s almost 30-year career; she is an increasingly multifaceted artist, who in addition to having graced the world’s most important stages and won four Latin Grammys and a Grammy Award, has also shown talent in hosting both Italian and international television programs and events: from ‘Laura & Paola’ and ‘Laura Xmas House Party’ to the Premio Lo Nuestro 2018 and Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
Laura also received a nomination at the prestigious Emmy Awards for the program ‘La Banda’ produced by Simon Cowell in 2015.
