The grandiose atmosphere of the Masonic Hall welcomed more than 150 guests who gathered to celebrate the unity, tradition and ongoing support provided to them that characterises the Lazio association.
The hall was packed, reflecting the strength and solidarity of the community.
“We would not be here celebrating surrounded by your affection without your endless support and backing,” said association president Rolando D’Arcangeli as he welcomed guests who poured in.
“We are happy that you always come in very large numbers.”
D’Arcangeli stressed the importance of continuing traditions that have deep roots in the Italian-Australian community.
“I thank everyone for being here and continuing our traditions,” he said.
“We have always organised festivals with the intention of bringing a little bit of our beloved region back to Australia and we have succeeded. We are more united than ever in the advancing years!”
Benito Berti, a committee member, was also very satisfied with the success of the event.
“We were very pleased,” said Berti.
“Last year was a very positive year, which is also why a lot of people come. This shows the attachment to our association.
“The proceeds, as usual, will go to charity.”
The event provided a unique opportunity for the community to strengthen ties, share memories and create new experiences.
The convivial moments shared together on the day made clear the value of such occasions in bringing people together, regardless of their backgrounds and personal histories.
The opening celebration of the Lazio Noantri & Carpineto Association marked not only the beginning of a new year, but also the continued growth and prosperity of a community committed to preserving its traditions and supporting those who are part of it.
Events like this prove that unity and solidarity can overcome any obstacle, creating an unbreakable bond between people who share a common cultural heritage and a sense of belonging.
