The project, which is promoted by the archaeological park, has the aim of involving the local community in the cultural life of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Madonna is visiting the area to celebrate her 66th birthday and has decided to support the project that, according to archaeological park sources, has an annual cost of 250,000 euros.
The project, which has reached its fourth edition, involves youths in staging a classic theatre performance at Pompeii’s Great Theatre.
The entire 2024/25 season has been funded through its foundation “Ray of Light”.
Madonna visited the site with its director, Gabriel Zuchtriegel, and her entourage of about 30 people
