A man was arrested at Milan’s Malpensa-Silvio Berlusconi Airport Wednesday after going on a rampage and setting a fire in a waste bin, spooking travellers.

The man allegedly went crazy at Terminal 1, where he set fire to the trash can, causing massive flames near Gate 13 and alarm among passengers.
The man also allegedly began smashing check-in screens with a hammer.
He was subdued by security personnel from SEA, the company that manages the airport, and was subsequently arrested by Polaria airport police.
Meanwhile, firefighters intervened and evacuated the terminal as a precaution while they secured the area.
