A 71-year-old man stabbed by the ex-partner of his daughter has died in hospital, medical sources said Monday.

The man was stabbed after the attacker threw acid in his daughter’s face and disfigured her with a knife to the face and neck in a Varese street.
The deceased, a geologist, died of ‘massive wounds’, the sources said.
The attacker allegedly waited for the woman to come out of her father’s studio to attack her.
He then stabbed her father when he tried to stop the attack.
