On Saturday September 24, Måneskin performed five songs at the 2022 Global Citizen Festival in New York.
The band took to the stage right before headliners Metallica.
Other artists that took part in the event include Charlie Puth, the Jonas Brothers, Mariah Carey, Mickey Guyton and Rosalía. The festival’s campaign ended with over 2.4 billion USD raised to fight extreme poverty.
Last week, Måneskin also announced their new single ‘The Loneliest’, which will be released on October 7. The track’s cover art was also made public.
The rock band’s hit single ‘SUPERMODEL’ recently surpassed more than 150 million global streams, reaching #1 on the Billboard charts, and remaining firmly at #1 on US Alternative Radio for several weeks. Måneskin are the only ones to reach this milestone with two songs this year.
Victoria, Damiano, Thomas and Ethan also won a 2022 Billboard Music Award in the category ‘Top Rock Song’, and the iHeartRadio Music Award for ‘Best New Alternative Artist’.
The year 2022 continues to see Maneskin perform on grandiose stages at major festivals around the world, such as the historic Circo Massimo in Rome, which sold out with over 70,000 attendees, or Lollapalooza in Chicago, in front of over 65,000 fans, where the band literally rocked the crowd. The band also performed at Rock in Rio, Pinkpop, Rock am Ring and Summer Sonic among many others.

The band performed at the MTV VMA Awards 2022 with their hit single ‘SUPERMODEL’, in a performance that shocked the TV audience due to a wardrobe malfunction.
The evening also saw the band proudly take home the VMA award for ‘Best Alternative Video’, marking the first time an Italian band has ever won such an award.
Måneskin are now ready for their LOUD KIDS TOUR, which will see them perform in the US from October 31 before returning to Italy on February 23, 2023, after which they will continue to tour all over Europe.
