On October 18 and 19, the Royal Exhibition Building and the Museum Plaza will be transformed into a corner of Italy to experience with all the senses.

The chosen slogan, Italy’s vibe, Aussie tribe, captures the spirit of an event that brings together communities and generations, with live music, DJ sets, dance performances, roving acts and food challenges.

More than fifty stalls and food trucks will fill the Piazze Italiane area with regional dishes, street food and cocktails, while inside the venue La Piazza Creativa will showcase artisans, designers and illustrators.

Wine lovers will find their place in the elegant gallery of the Royal Exhibition Building with Wine Discovery, an exclusive tasting experience featuring producers and sommeliers.

Music will also meet excellence with the IF Jazz Club, presented in collaboration with the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, which will feature world renowned artists including Rita Marcotulli and Paul Grabowsky.

There will be plenty of surprises for the little ones too, with play areas, creative workshops and the eagerly awaited Zecchino d’Oro in Melbourne. Created by Italian Australian singer songwriter Gisella Cozzo, the event will involve more than 400 children from school choirs.

Sports, crafts, fashion and tourism will complete a mosaic of experiences that make the festival not only an event, but a true celebration of the enduring bond between Italy and Australia.
