Melbourne newlyweds break record with 15-foot-tall cake

A new record has been set in Melbourne for the tallest wedding cake in Australia – and possibly the world.

The record-breaking cake is 15 feet tall and weighs in at 1400 pounds.

The towering treat was made by Etna Catering Service for a young Italian couple’s special day.

The bride and groom are Vittorio Fazzari from Brunswick and Maria Mazzei from Northcote.

The newlyweds were married on Saturday, October 5, and they celebrated with 1500 guests at the wedding reception.
