Melbourne Town Hall to host fifth Festival della Canzone Italiana

Singers Marina Dale, Alba Marasco and Anna Maria Manna are pictured playing with a group of children at the Yooralla Hospital for children with disability.

The trio are among the artists who will perform the 10 finalist songs of the fifth Festival della Canzone Italiana at the Melbourne Town Hall.

The proceeds of the event will go to the Yooralla Hospital and CO.AS.IT.

The lineup features the biggest names in Italian and Australian pop, including: Tony Pantano, Bruno Matricciani, Luciano Santoni, the Trio Alessi, Marina D’Alessandro and Sandro Martino.

Australian artists set to perform include: Diane Faulkner, Tony Grant, Anne Lee, Nino Erman, Matt Flinders, Ronnie Burns, Jeff Phillips and Rolando Bonnett.

The artists will be accompanied by a 20-piece orchestra, directed by Maestro Lou Toppano.

The festival’s organiser, Rolando Di Bari, could not have put together a more impressive group.

The event will be presented by renowned Australian television presenter, Eric Pearce, adding to the glitz and glamour.
