Possession was equal with Lazio creating nine chances to Inter’s four. In fact, both of the nerazzuri’s goals were their only shots on target for the game.

Marko Arnautovic broke the deadlock six minutes before the break with an incredible left-footed volley from distance following a Lazio clearance from an Inter corner.

Hakan Calhanoglu sealed the win for Inter in the 77th minute with a penalty awarded for a foul on Joaquin Correa. Calhanoglu sent Christos Mandas the wrong way with a clinical spot kick.

The semi-final will be played over two legs, with Inter hosting the second leg.
