Special guests on the night included: Senator Seaman; The Hon. Mario Feleppa, on behalf of Premier John Bannon; the Italian Consul General Francesco De Conno; Senator Tony Messner; The Hon. K. Hamilton; The Hon. Terry Groom; Marco Danieli, on behalf of the President of the South Australian Multicultural & Ethnic Affairs Commission; the director of Alitalia in SA and NT; and the judges, of course.

During the evening, participants enjoyed performances from Hungarian and Maltese folk groups, a fashion parade presented by Plums, and musical acts by Daniela Di Bacco, Giovanni Di Malta and Dino Prizzi.
