Monza took the lead in the 66th minute when Lorenzo Colombo, who was on the halfway line when the ball was played to him, did well to protect the ball, run into the box, cut in and slot it low past the keeper.

Surprise package Sassuolo had beaten Juventus and Inter Milan in their past two matches and could have been seventh on the table had things gone as expected against Monza. Instead, they’re 11th while Monza is 12th with equal points.
