During an incredible evening, the side was introduced and presented with their new jerseys.

The event took place last Thursday at De Chene Reserve in Coburg.

Past presidents of the club were present, including Giorgio Penzo, Peter Balassone, Maria Carmignani, Rob Sturma and Joseph Sala.

First up to the microphone was the newly-announced honorary member, Joe Salanitri, who forms part of the famous comedy trio, Sooshi Mango.

Salanitri spoke of his father’s immense love and passion for the club, as both a player and a fan.

Moreland City councillor Oscar Yildiz outlined the role that the club has played within the community.

The club’s two presidents, Dom Montesano and Joseph Sala, highlighted the importance of continuing to honour the illustrious jersey after 74 years of history.

Guests were treated to a four-course dinner catered by club sponsor, Mercadante Woodfire Pizzeria.

The club extended its gratitude to its supporters, sponsors, partnering companies and tireless volunteers for their flawless work.  

The Moreland Zebras Juventus FC will play its first match of the season tonight against Pascoe Vale FC at CB Smith Reserve.
