The visitors had the lion’s share of possession and created 15 chances to Salernitana’s five.

Napoli went ahead in the 13th minute after a counter press led to a turnover in the front third that ended with Giacomo Raspadori finishing Stanislav Lobotka’s through ball from a tight angle.

The champions absolutely peppered the Salernitana goal, and had it not been for the heroics of Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, would have been ahead by some margin.

Napoli’s sealed the win in the 82nd minute thanks to another turnover they forced and punished, this time by Eljif Elmas who ran down the left wing, cut inside and shot low into the far post.

Napoli sit fourth after 11 games, seven points behind leaders Inter.
