Brisbane-based soccer club New Italian Generation Inc is currently on the hunt for new players to join them next season.
Founded in 2015 by Rome native Simone Trentino and fellow migrant and football enthusiast Francesco d’Orsa, New Italian Generation Inc provides an avenue for Italians in Australia to meet people from back home and carry on their passion for the Belpaese’s favourite sport.
“We founded the group because we saw that there was a gap in the Italian community and we wanted to give people a space not only to play soccer, but to make friends as well,” Trentino said in an interview with Il Globo in 2017.
