The visitors opened the scoring after 33 minutes when Gialuca Lapadula took the ball around Buffon and slotted it into an empty net from a slight angle.

Cagliari went close to getting their second when Poulo Azzi went on a run that ended with a close-range shot from an acute angle, but it was straight at Buffon.

After the break Parma substitute Drissa Camara went close, but his shot was just wide.

Parma had their equaliser in the 63rd minute thanks to a penalty awarded for handball.

Franco Vasquez Coolly slotted it down the middle, but was fortunate that Radunovic didn’t get a foot to it.

Parma took the lead 15 minutes later after Dennis man cut in from the right-hand side and rocketed a shot into the top corner.

The home side could have sealed it with another penalty awarded for a trip in the box, but Valentin Mihaila’s attempt at a Panenka did not pay off, with Radunovic simply standing up and swatting the ball away.

Parma and Cagliari currently sit fifth and sixth on the table respectively.
