Despite having less of the ball, the visitors created 11 chances to Como’s miserly three.

Parma took the lead in under three minutes when Valentin Mihaila carried the ball up the field from around the halfway line before cutting inside his pursuer and putting it on a silver platter for Adrian Benedyczak, who finished from close range.

Simone Verdi equalised for Como in the 24th minute when a poor pass out the back from Parma was intercepted by Lucas Da Cunha.

Da Cunha played Verdi in and the striker made no mistake with a hard and low shot.

Parma are seven points clear of second-placed Venezia, while Como trail them by nine.
