Possession was roughly equal, but it was the away side who created more chances, 16 to 12.

Pisa took the lead in the 16th minute when Mattia Valoti side footed home Arturo Calabresi’s low ball into the box.

Seven minutes before the break, Valoti turned provider for Alessandro Arena with a flick-on header to put him through on goal. Arena made no mistake as he beat the keeper at his near post.

FeralpiSalo’s Edgaras Dubickas made it interesting in the 83rd minute when he got a foot on Giacomo Manzari’s inward swinging cross.

In the fourth minute of added time, Valoti had his brace with a tame effort that should have been comfortably saved by Semuel Pizzignacco in goals.

FeralpiSalo sit 19th, five points from safety with five games remaining. Pisa are ninth, one point outside the promotion playoff zone.
