The 50-year-old is being probed for the felony of holding public institutions in contempt after he commented to attendees: “Giorgia Meloni aye? Piece of s**t, fascist, racist”, in Italian at Stupinigi on July 11 at a show that was staged as part of Sonic Park festival (Click here for footage of the incident).
The Turin prosecutors opened the probe after Carabinieri police reported the incident, the sources said.
In Italy, anyone who ‘publicly defames the Republic’ including the government, parliament, the courts and the army can be punished with a fine of up to €5000.
