“The arrival of a competitor leads to reducing the market share of those who are leaders like us in Italy,” he said after talks with unions in Turin.
“If we are under pressure, we can accelerate productivity to reduce costs.
“Also, if we lose market share, we need fewer factories.
“Introducing Chinese competition is a big threat to Stellantis.
“We will fight, but when you fight there can be casualties.
“Do not expect us to come out victorious without scars.”
