The home side went ahead in the fourth minute thanks to a wonderful top-corner finish from Matteo Brunori from just inside the box.
Brunori was the provider for the second goal in the 40th minute when he found Gennaro Tutino in the box.
Tutino finished first time with his left foot, putting the ball into the bottom-left corner.
Palermo thought they had a third but it was ruled out by VAR for offside.
In the second half, Brescia had a goal ruled out by VAR themselves.
However, it wouldn’t take long for them to get one back as they made it 2-1 in the 54th minute.
John Bjorkengren put Pablo Rodriguez through on goal, with the latter’s deft touch just lifting it over the oncoming Pigliacelli.
Two minutes after that and Brescia was level thanks to an excellent cross from Matthieu Huard that found Florian Aye who headed in the equaliser.
The point helped Brescia into the relegation playoffs and instead automatically relegated Perugia.
Palermo finish ninth thanks to an inferior head-to-head with Venezia, meaning they will remain in Serie B.
