During the event, Club President Frank Iacobellis and the ever-active Vice President Maria Dimattia presented two long-standing members, Anna Iacobellis and Maddalena Alfonsi, with a certificate of merit and the title of honorary life members.
The club, always proud of its members’ dedication, boasts many long-time supporters who continue to take part in social life and back the initiatives of the Pugliese community.
But Anna and Maddalena, with nearly 40 years of continuous commitment, represent a particularly strong example of participation and loyalty that has enriched and strengthened the club.
“Their interest and support have never wavered in the past forty years,” Dimattia said. “This recognition is a special sign of our esteem and gratitude.”
Over the decades, the two women have shown their support through steady attendance at community events—from the monthly dinner dances to larger celebrations—and by volunteering with enthusiasm and generosity.
Their contribution has helped the club grow and build lasting bonds within the community, making every initiative more vibrant and successful.
Both Iacobellis and Alfonsi expressed their thanks to the committee, saying they were deeply pleased to see their long and constant involvement acknowledged.
The evening unfolded in a festive atmosphere, with a generous traditional menu that delighted all guests.
A performance by Lissa Bruno, organised by Vito Liuzzi—the club’s public relations coordinator—together with music by the Duo Italiano, offered moments of dancing and entertainment while honouring the long-standing members and celebrating the vitality of the community.
The joy of dancing and good food, combined with the sense of gratitude and belonging shared by everyone present, was, as always, the result of the behind-the-scenes work of a highly capable organising committee.
