“As school workers we feel offended and mistreated, our values and dignity are trampled on these days,” said the almost 250 staff of the Pioltello institute.
“‘Whoever attacks a school employee attacks the State’, said [Education] Minister [Giuseppe] Valditara a short time ago,” they recalled.
“But for days we have been feeling attacked and unprotected by the wave of hatred generated in the press and on social media, even by political exponents.”
They voiced “indignation at the instrumentalisation” of the decision to close the school on April 10.
