This year, Rete Italia has kicked off a series of initiatives that will enhance its role in serving the community.
Starting Monday, June 19, 2023, listeners in Melbourne and Sydney will be able to listen to Rete Italia 24 hours a day on the DAB+ frequency, at channel ‘NICHE RADIO 1’ while listeners elsewhere will be able to use the Rete Italia app or the Il Globo TV app.
Italian-language programming will no longer finish at 3pm but will continue throughout the day while multicultural segments in other languages move to ‘NICHE RADIO 2’.
The Italian-language programming will see the inclusion of new segments, new programs, new hosts and regular guests that will provide even more entertainment and information to listeners in Australia.
Over the past twelve months Rete Italia has added new ways to enjoy to its content, which can still be heard on radio stations and the Rete Italia App, but now you can also watch videos on the new television channel Rete Italia TV, available on the Il Globo TV platform.
Rete Italia TV is available for free on the Il Globo TV platform, downloadable on smart TVs, tablets and smartphones.
Subscriptions are available for Il Globo TV in order to watch the widest selection of Italian television programs available in Australia.
Il Globo TV has Rai Italia, Rai World Premium, Rai News 24, Mediaset Italia, TGCOM24, LA7 Italia, Tv2000 plus a selection of regional television channels and Serie B games live and on demand.
