On Tuesday 21st February, Rita Piedimonte, a woman highly esteemed and respected by the entire Melbourne community, sadly passed away.

She leaves an immense void in the hearts of her loved ones and all those who loved her.

She was an exceptional wife, mother and grandmother, always present in the lives of her children and grandchildren, and her love for them was unconditional.

She played a very important role in keeping the family together, by following the lives of her loved ones with deep affection and providing advice in times of need.

An extraordinarily genuine, selfless, strong, and caring woman, she never gave up and was always determined and positive.

She was a very sentimental person, always ready to follow and organise all the family traditions that everyone waited for with great anticipation; especially Christmas, which the grandchildren – the little ones in the family – loved so much because of the decorations on the tree.

Rita passed away surrounded by the affection of her family and of all those who loved her and who will forever keep her memory in their hearts.

The memory of her smile, her presence and her sweetness will endure. She will be deeply missed by all, but will never be forgotten.
