According to the City Council, there have been 25 fewer accidents compared to the same period in 2023, and 14 fewer injuries.

There has also been a 27.3 per cent decline in pedestrians involved.

Between January 15-28 (the new rules began on the 16th), 94 accidents occurred on the roads of Bologna, 63 of which were with injuries and 31 without. There were no fatalities.

From January 16-29, 2023, there had been 119 accidents, 77 of which resulted in injuries, 41 of which had no injuries, and one fatality.

That is 18.2 per cent fewer accidents with injuries and 24.4 per cent fewer accidents without injuries.

“We must consolidate this initial positive trend,” said city council sources.
