The rocker has been a solo artist for many years post-Led Zeppelin and performed on Monday with Portuguese singer Suzi Dian, one of his regular duet partners. He also performs regularly with American bluegrass-country singer and fiddler, Alison Krauss.

Plant was backed by his latest band Saving Grace, a name that reflects a pledge to give a hefty chunk of proceeds to saving the planet from the climate crisis.

The Brit posted a snap of the top of the Sferisterio illuminated by warm lights and topped by a cloudy sky in which a moon peeps out.
