The solitary goal from Wesley midway through the second half proved decisive as the Giallorossi ground out a precious victory in a cagey contest.

The first half was largely an even affair, with Roma dominating possession but struggling to create clear-cut chances against a well-organised Como side.

Evan Ferguson had a first-half opportunity for the hosts but was denied by a sharp save from Como keeper Jean Butez, while the visitors’ best chance before the break came just before halftime, also thwarted by strong goalkeeping.

After the interval Roma’s patience paid off. In the 60th minute Matías Soulé controlled a deflected pass and laid the ball off to Wesley, who finished with precision, slotting low into the far corner to break the deadlock.

Como responded by pushing forward in search of an equaliser, but they struggled to carve out clear opportunities against a disciplined Roma back line.

The visitors’ best moments came from sporadic transitions, yet none ultimately troubled Roma’s defence. In the closing stages, the Giallorossi managed the game well, protecting their slender lead until the final whistle.

The win lifts Roma to 30 points, just three shy of league leaders Inter, and marks a timely return to form after recent defeats. For Como, the narrow loss leaves them in mid-table with 24 points, still competitive but disappointed not to have taken anything from a spirited performance on the road.
