The announcement comes according to a security plan developed by Rome Police Headquarters that was issued Tuesday.

The iconic Roman square’s famed Barcaccia fountain was vandalised in 2015 by Feyenoord ultras.

“The visiting fans will be welcomed by the city and will receive every type of assistance,” said the police.

“There will be no tolerance for the violent.”

For weeks, police said, the DIGOS special security branch has been busy tracking the names of Eintracht Frankfurt fans who have been involved in episodes of violence during away matches in Italy.
