Despite having 72 per cent possession and creating 11 chances on goal to Udinese’s six, Milan were unable to find the back of the net.

The match’s lone goal came in the 62nd minute when Roberto Pereyra scored a penalty awarded for Yacine Adli’s clumsy trip on Festy Ebosele in the box.

Pereyra slotted his spot kick into bottom-right corner as Mike Maignan went the wrong way.

Milan remain third, now six points behind rivals Inter.
