A Sardinian village is offering one-euro homes to Americans fleeing Donald Trump.

Ollolai, near Nuoro, has for some time been inviting people to do up one-euro homes to help repopulate a community that boasts just over 1000 souls.

Now, amid a wave of Americans unhappy after Trump’s stunning political comeback, the picturesque mountain village has sent a message to those wanting to leave the States.

Ollolai’s “bring life back” campaign website asks: “Are you worn out by global politics? It’s time to start building your European escape in the stunning paradise of Sardinia.”

“We have specifically created this website now to meet U.S post-election relocation needs,” said Ollolai Mayor Francisco Columbu.

The call has already attracted the attention of American media outlets including CNN.
