“Currently, the federal system does not recognise the autonomy and decision-making weight that Serie A should have with respect to economic weight,” he added.
In England, the Premier League is independent from the Football Association, England’s governing body.
“Leaving the FIGC (Italian Football Federation)? It’s all premature,” clarified Casini.
“The clubs unanimously decided to go down this current path, leaving is too far ahead.”
