His education took him from Benevento to Granada, Rome and Paris, with a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and a master’s in automation management engineering
The turning point came when he entered the energy-efficiency sector.
Within a few months, he went from appointment setter to top salesperson, eventually becoming involved in the Australian launch of the Tesla Powerwall—an experience that took him to California and gave him a clear understanding of where the market was heading: toward energy storage.
In 2017, Lanzetta founded Smart Energy Answers together with a colleague who worked in installations. The company specialises in solar panels, batteries and intelligent energy systems, and today counts more than 7000 installations, 50 employees and a solid presence along the East Coast.
Product testing, carefully selected partnerships and real post-sales support are the pillars on which he built a stable model in a sector where many operators open and close quickly.
Lanzetta sees the next major step in the expansion of Virtual Power Plants: networks of connected home batteries that can supply energy back to the grid during peak demand, creating a win-win model for both the grid and consumers.
It is already operating in Australia and expected to grow further thanks to new government incentives.
From consulting work in Italy to renewable energy in Australia, his journey is that of a technician who identified a growing industry and built a stable business within it—without shortcuts.
Lanzetta’s story is one of expertise, adaptability and decisive choices.
Smart Energy Answers is currently looking for new staff and is open to job opportunities for motivated young Italians interested in internships and long-term sponsorships.
