All funds raised from the cause are channelled into trauma recovery and the facilitation of trauma prevention for victims of family violence.

One billion children have experienced violence in the last year alone – that’s half of the world’s children.

Australian-based social impact organisation, ygap, has been determined to reduce this shocking statistic since establishing Polished Man in 2014.

Last year’s fundraising ventures saw an astonishing total of $1.13 million raised.

This year, the Polished Man team is hoping to build on that figure, despite the world looking a little different.

With an extensive ambassador list, Polished Man 2020 has received support from Australian icons including: musicians Vance Joy and Client Liaison; AFL great Brendon Fevola; award-winning Attica chef Ben Sherwey; former Married at First Sight contestant Michael Brunelli; and comic trio Sooshi Mango (brothers Joe and Carlo Salanitri, and Andrew Manfre).

“We’re proud to be ambassadors of Polished Man and support the work they are doing to stop violence against children,” Carlo Salanitri said.

“We were once little bambinos, all raised by strong and loving fathers, however, we know not everyone is as fortunate as us.

“This year, we’re uniting to stand against violence and shed light on this issue to help the children who need it most.”

The initiative aims to produce a whirlwind of donations, painted nails and much-needed conversations to end child violence for good.

Those wishing to make a donation are encouraged to visit the Polished Man website for more information.
