The first of these events was held on Friday, July 29, in the Bowling Club at Five Dock.

It was a disco night organised by Paola De Romanis of the Bersaglieri Association Sydney, which attracted more than 300 youths who enjoyed themselves until close.

On Saturday, July 30, Rosalia Licata of La Casa del Corredo and the Licata Ladies organised a special evening which brought together supporters, family and friends in great numbers.

The dinner was fantastic, as was the speech made by Eolian House owner John Merlino.

The Licata Ladies knew how to entertain the guests with gifts and a special lottery featuring prizes donated by various companies and La Casa del Corredo.

Singer Patricio Rodriguez also wowed his audience.

The third event took place on Sunday at the Apia Club, organised by Aldo Breda Construction and Daniela Di Gianni from Maiella Butchery.

The evening featured a delicious smorgasbord, plus a fashion parade of young models presented by La Gardenia, September Girls and Sara Cupri.

In the leadup to the “Miss Italian Charity Queen” competition, which will take place this week, we introduce Laura Tedeschi, a candidate from Merrylands.

Laura came to Australia with her parents when she was six years old and went to school here.

She is now a student at Sydney Technical College, where she studies photography and journalism, following in her father’s footsteps (her father is the photographer Tony Tedeschi).

Laura is 17 years old and is sponsored by her family and Euro Shipping Service in Five Dock, which is managed by Franco Bernardini.
