Reggina created 18 shots on goal, compared to just two (with only one on target) from Sudtirol.

The first half, like the whole game, was all Reggina. Despite creating a number of chances they were unable to conjure anything to really trouble Poluzzi in goals.

After the break the visitors went closer with a strike from Hernani, but Poluzzi got down to his left and made an excellent save.

Reggina kept resorting to shots from distance, but couldn’t break the deadlock.

In the 89th minute and completely against the run of play, Sudtirol stole the game with their first and only shot on target.

Daniele Casiraghi blasted the ball goalward before Reggina’s Giuseppe Loiacono tried to block the ball, however instead just deflected it past his own keeper who was completely wrongfooted.

Sudtirol will now play Bari over two legs.
