The away side had more of the ball with 56 per cent possession as both teams created five shots on goal.
There were relatively few clear-cut chances in the first half, with neither side really troubling the goalkeeper.
In the second half, Sudtirol went close through Simone Mazzocchi, but his volley went just wide.
Just as the game was about to end, Matteo Rover rose up in the 92nd minute to head in Daniele Casiraghi’s cross, after the latter did well on the wing to make room for himself.
