The club’s tireless secretary, Pina Conidi, said she was thrilled with the outcome. “It was a real success—a wonderful night,” she said, as 360 guests filled the venue and created a festive atmosphere from the moment they arrived.
In a touch of sweetness and elegance, guests were offered small cups and bite-sized treats as they exchanged greetings and end-of-year wishes. From there, the evening flowed into a generous dinner built around classic Italian flavours.
The menu opened with a plentiful shared antipasto served on large platters placed at the centre of each table, featuring sliced prosciutto with melon, eggplant and other traditional favourites.
It was followed by one of Italy’s most-loved pasta dishes: agnolotti with a rich, quality sauce.
Then came the main course—a roast served with calamari, vegetables and side dishes.
A classic cheese board also made its way to the tables, reinforcing the spirit of sharing that defines these community celebrations.
Dessert delivered a sweet finale, with three gelato varieties along with tartufo and cassata, before the most anticipated moment of the night arrived: the midnight champagne toast, shared with cheers, hugs and applause as the new year was welcomed together.
Live entertainment kept the dancefloor buzzing throughout the evening, with Out of the Blue, a five-piece band, providing the soundtrack to the celebrations.
Behind the scenes, Conidi said the success was also the result of a strong team effort. “We started the day before,” she explained. “So many of us from the committee were there, working on decorations and preparations.”
Balloons, festive touches and careful styling helped set the tone, creating a warm and inviting space for the milestone celebration.
With New Year’s Eve now behind them, the club is already looking ahead. The next event on the calendar is Valentine’s Day on February 14, followed by a surprise-themed show in March and a full program of activities planned for the months ahead.
