The production attempts to explore and understand the National Insurance Disability Scheme (NDIS), and hopes to bring about an improved quality of life for those affected by it.
Written and directed by company founder, Andrea Dal Bosco and starring Maria de Marco, Arianna de Martino, Isabella Forte, Nino Lo Giudice, Silvio Ofria and Nick Whiley, the play will be performed in Italian with English subtitles.
Teatro a Te was founded by writer and director Andrea Dal Bosco, who was born and raised in Sydney’s Little Italy, Leichhardt.
Dal Bosco has created award-winning film and television in Australia and around the world for the past 30 years.
He has written two best-selling books on the immigrant experience based on his ground breaking SBS series Tales From a Suitcase and is still the youngest ever recipient of an Australian Writers Guild Award (AWGIE).
Teatro a Te celebrates Italo-Australian talent and perspective.
The success of this production will be measured by the reception of the Italian community, and how they make use of the National Insurance Disability Scheme to better their quality of life.
