This community event is being put together by the many Italian clubs, institutions and associations of Melbourne.
The Festa della Repubblica celebrates the historic moment in which Italy became a Republic in 1946.
The Italian community also extends a warm invitation to the wider Victorian community. We truly want to see everyone there to celebrate a country that has given so much to Australia and the world.
A host of experiences have been organised by the Italian community to commemorate this special day. There will be an array of entertainment from local Italian performers along with fun activities for kids and families.
Regional dishes will be served, gifting guests the full spectrum of Italian cuisine required to properly celebrate the Bel Paese.
A church service will also be held at the Calabria Club in the morning.
