Special guests on the evening included Mr Matisi, Mayor of Northcote, and Captain De Salvo.
Companies that contributed to the evening’s success and donated gifts for the raffle include: Macelleria Torrini, Aquila Shoes, Avola Toma Bros., Carlton Travel Service and Iride Beauty Salon.
Everyone present received souvenir scrolls, while a plaque was gifted to Mr Cargioli, in remembrance of all Ligurians in Australia.
During the evening, Miss Cristoforo Colombo and Miss Charity Queen were elected.
The titles went to Franca Pastregno (right) and Elisabeth Solaris respectively.
A general assembly will be held on August 9, in which the new committee will be elected and the club’s budget and social calendar will be presented.
Given the importance of the meeting, all members are encouraged to attend.
