The iconic market this year introduced a brand new initiative, the Europa Night Market, which brings delicious European street eats to Melbourne for an exclusive five-week season.
The season began on Wednesday, April 10, with Italian Night, and was followed by the cuisines of Eastern Europe (April 17), French Province (April 24) and the Iberian Peninsula (May 1).
On Wednesday, May 8, the season will come to an end with Mediterranean Night, showcasing the best from Italy and its neighbours.
Visitors can enjoy eating and shopping at over 40 stalls, while learning more about the Mediterranean cuisine and traditions.
There will also be live entertainment from the market’s amphitheatre-style stage and Euro-inspired bars.
There will even be a silent disco celebrating all things Eurovision for those looking to work off all that food.
Here are the Italian stalls that will be present on the night:
CalzoniAmo
Inspired by Nonna’s secret family recipe, CalzoniAmo are bringing this traditional Italian delicacy to the night market … And with extra cheese!
Flavours that will be served up on the night include: Funghi & 3-Cheese, Hot Salami, Olive & Mozzarella, Mortadella, Mushroom & Mozzarella and Mixed Berries & Ricotta.
Mimmo’s
Mimmo’s take its own sweet brioche doughnuts and stuffs them with traditional artisan gelato (made the old-fashioned way) married up with a selection of special sauces and spreads.
That’s Amore Cheese

On the night, they will promote Italian street food centred around Italian culture and delicious cheese-based dishes.
Their menu will feature: their signature pasta dish, Spaghetti Quattro Formaggi tossed in a 40-kilogram Grana Padano cheese wheel; Gnocchi Sorrentina; and an exciting new dish, Caciocavallo cheese cooked by hanging over charcoal.
Tiramisù Lift Me Up
Tiramisù Lift Me Up will serve the delicious and most famous Italian dessert in many different ways at the market.
Take your pick from: Tiramisù Rum, Tiramisù Brioche, Tiramisù Stick and Waffle Cup.
Each Tiramisù can be served in different flavours such as: Classico, Caramel, Nutella, Bounty and Strawberry.
400 Gradi
