Born and raised in Bassano del Grappa in Vicenza, Faccio embodies the soul and passion of the internationally renowned show, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

The 2024 Australian tour of Burn the Floor, which began on August 14, promises to be a unique experience, with Faccio both dancing and contributing as a choreographer, bringing an unparalleled energy to the stage.

“Dancing has always been my dream since I was a child. I spent my whole life doing this,” Faccio shared.

“I fell in love with dance when I saw a performance by a Latin dance couple in my small town.”

That first encounter was an inspiration, leading Faccio to compete nationally and internationally, becoming a multi-time Italian champion in Latin and show dance.

After representing Italy at the world championships in China and Germany, Faccio had the opportunity to join the Burn the Floor company, a decision that would change the course of his career.

“This is my tenth year with the company. It’s no longer just a job; it has become a second family,” he shared.

His involvement with the show has led Faccio to some of the world’s most prestigious theatre districts and stages, including London’s West End and the Sydney Opera House.

The current Burn the Floor show in Australia, titled Dare to Dream, features a dance number that’s particularly meaningful to Faccio: John Farnham’s Burn for You.

“I choreographed this number with the help of my dancer and choreographer Peta Roby a few years ago, thinking of someone very special to me,” he revealed.

Recently and for the first time, Faccio had the opportunity to perform the routine during the tour and was eager to share it with the Australian audience.

“We always work very hard,” he said, explaining the rigorous discipline that epitomises Burn the Floor dancers.

They start in the morning and continue until late evening, always striving for perfection.

“Even though it’s physically demanding, I think the passion we have for what we do makes the job easier,” he said.

This is Faccio’s sixth time in Australia, a country he considers very special, “I danced at the Sydney Opera House in 2019, and I couldn’t wait to return.

“It has an indescribable, unique atmosphere that overwhelms you with a thousand emotions you’ve never experienced anywhere else.”

Faccio hopes to continue choreographing and moving audiences with his new creations.

“As I said before, since I was young I always dreamed of pursuing my love for dance and making it my profession.

“It has always been a passion for me, and I hope I can pass it on just as it was passed on to me.”
