The Lombardy region did exceptionally well with nine venues that were granted the recognition, followed by Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont and Veneto.
Meanwhile, the number of three-Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy has risen to 14 with Casa Perbellini ai 12 Apostoli in Verona joining the list of places offering “exceptional cuisine” worth a national or international journey.
Overall, all 13 restaurants previously granted three stars were confirmed in the new guide: Villa Crespi, Piazza Duomo, Da Vittorio, Le Calandre, Dal Pescatore, Osteria Francescana, Enoteca Pinchiorri, La Pergola, Reale, Uliassi, Enrico Bartolini al Mudec, Atelier Moessmer Norbert Niederkofler and Quattro Passi.
The new guide also listed 38 two-starred restaurants, with two new entries, and 341 venues with one star, including the 33 new entries.
The ‘Michelin Green Star’ list for restaurants with ethical and sustainable cuisine was awarded to 69 restaurants (11 new entries).
The ‘Bib Gourmand’ recognition for establishments serving high-quality food at moderate prices was granted to 250 establishments, including 16 new entries.
In total, there are 1983 venues included in the guide’s 2025 edition.
