Last Tuesday, October 12, the Gladstone Park Italian Pensioners’ Club, affiliated with the Federation of Italian Pensioners’ Clubs in Victoria, celebrated its 33rd anniversary at the clubhouse located at the Gladstone Park Senior Citizen Club.

Members were spoiled with a rich lunch enlivened by pleasant musical tunes by maestro Tony Villella.

The club was founded in 1990 by then Federation president Pasquale Carfì, the Reverend Don Vincenzo D’Amico, and the club’s first president, Frank Capuana, who served until 2002.

The day’s festivities began with a brief speech by president Rino Dell’Anno, who welcomed all those present.

It was the committee members themselves who served the lunch that also included dessert, coffee and drinks.

After the wonderful meal, the traditional celebratory cake was cut and the special afternoon ended with a raffle draw.
