The Avengers started strong with Zinni scoring in the 17th minute before Kur Kur scored from the penalty spot in first half added time.
A red card to the Hume City keeper for the foul that gave away the penalty meant the second half was going to be a large challenge for the visitors.
The challenge was too great in the end and at the end of the game, the flood gates burst open. It was 3-0 in the 85th minute with Trajceski returning from injury and scoring, then Chinnama scoring a brace in the 88th and 90th minute to secure a 5-0 win.
Avondale FC next play an Australia Cup qualifier at the Home of the Matildas on Tuesday, June 18, then host Manningham United in the league.
The Senior Women hosted Ballarat City at Fairbairn Park, and no one would be surprised to read that The Avengers maintained their perfect season with a 6-0 win.
The big win came thanks to goals from Candia, Houghton, Hubeek, Hartzema and Davies with two.
