After winning gold at the Paris Olympics last year, Italy’s women’s volleyball team continued their rampant form by beating Brazil 3-1 in Lodz, Poland, on Sunday in the final of the Nations League.
Sunday’s was 29th consecutive match Julio Velasco’s Azzurre have won.
On Saturday, Italy’s Guillaume Bianchi, Filippo Macchi, Tommaso Marini and Alessio Foconi won the gold medal in the team foil event at the fencing world championships in Tbilisi, beating the United States 43-42 in the final.
On Sunday, Carlos D’Ambrosio, Thomas Ceccon, Lorenzo Zazzeri and Manuel Frigo won the silver medal in the men’s 4x100 freestyle relay at the World Swimming Championships in Singapore.
