Udinese went ahead in the 16th minute when Christian Kabasele was at the back post to tap in Lazar Samardzic’s curling cross from a free kick.

Lorenzo Lucca made it 2-0 on the half hour mark when he beat the poorly timed offside trap to get on the end of Roberto Pereyra’s dangerous ball into the box, finishing from six yards out.

Milan Djuric got one back for Verona in the 37th minute with a penalty awarder for handball.

Cyril Ngonge equalised for the visitors in the 61st with an acrobatic overhead bicycle kick.

Lucca had his brace in the 72nd when he rose up high to head in Florian Thauvin’s cross.

Just when it was looking like Verona would go home with nothing, Thomas Henry popped up in the 97th minute to head and Ngonge cross over the oncoming Marco Silvestri.

Udinese are 16th, two points ahead of Verona in the drop zone.
