A Ukrainian ship with 6,300 tonnes of vegetable oil aboard is set to dock in Venice today, port authority sources said Monday.
It is the second Ukrainian ship to dock in Italy since ships were allowed out again by Russia, following a massive grain shipment last week.
The ship, the ‘Zumrut Ana’, left the port of Chornomorsk near Odessa on August 20.
The cargo's voyage was made possible after the authorization of a United Nations delegation which is coordinating cereal exports from the war-torn country via Istanbul.
The exact time at which the ship will leave the channel and arrive at the cereal dock in Marghera is not yet known.
It will partly depend on the tides, sources said.
Last week a ship with 15,000 tonnes of corn also arrived in Ravenna, south of Venice.
