A 25-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of Pietro Sanna, a 23-year-old Sardinian man found stabbed to death at his home in the Canning Town district of London last Monday.
Hasna Begum, a woman of Bangladeshi origin with English citizenship, was Sanna’s flatmate and, according to police authorities, she was also the person who reported the stabbing.
Begum later confessed to stabbing Sanna and appeared at the Thames Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, where she was remanded to appear at the Old Bailey today.
Sanna, who moved to the UK a few years ago, was found dead on Monday morning at his home by his older brother, Giomaria, who also lives in London.
